Job Description
Houlihan Lokey is looking for a Specialist to join their Corporate Finance Analytics team. This role involves applying a combination of managerial and technical skills to explore new datasets, improve current processes, and work with stakeholder to recommend and implement solutions. The Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing capabilities for the company's growth and communicating with both client teams and other Analytics team members to lead complicated projects to completion.
This role requires strong analytical and programming skills, a solid understanding of technology and data processes, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams. It also involves a focus on innovation and the ability to identify opportunities for the application of data to investment bankers. The Specialist’s work will play a significant role in shaping the company's growth and efficiency strategies.
The responsibilities of the Specialist in this role will include:
Analyzing Processes: The Specialist will be responsible for assessing current processes within Corporate Finance and identifying areas where technology and analytics can be applied to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Solution Creation: The Specialist will lead the planning and execution of solutions by leveraging data analytics, technology tools, and other relevant resources to address identified process gaps and challenges.
Implementation: After designing solutions, the Specialist will oversee the implementation process, ensuring that the new platforms and technology-driven processes are properly integrated into the existing systems and address stakeholder needs.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Close collaboration with key stakeholders is crucial. The Specialist will work closely with various teams, departments, and leaders to understand their needs and demonstrate how technology can drive growth and efficiency.
Impact Assessment: Once the new solutions are implemented, the Specialist will be responsible for monitoring their adoption and measuring the impact on processes, efficiency, and overall outcomes.
Reporting: The Specialist will prepare reports and presentations to communicate the results of implemented solutions, showcasing their contributions to the company's growth and streamlined operations.
Adaptation and Improvement: As the company evolves and new challenges arise, the Specialist will need to adapt their strategies and solutions to ensure continued success and improvement.
Leadership and Mentoring: The Specialist will supervise, mentor, and educate junior members of the Analytics team, and should play a managing role by coordinating with different stakeholders and leading projects to conclusion.
Qualifications
3+ years of working experience using Python, accompanied by an understanding of data structures
3+ years of working experience using SQL
Experience presenting results and creating story-driven dashboards in Tableau and/or Sigma
Experience managing junior team members in an analytics or consulting role
Demonstrated ability to lead projects from ideation to completion, strong presentation skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Economics or related field
Enthusiastic about identifying and driving efficiencies
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, comfortable with flexible work arrangements
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to overcome roadblocks on their own with an eagerness to problem solve
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Salary Range
Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:
$130,000.00-$150,000.00Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
