We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Data Science & Analytics to shape our company's data-driven decision-making. This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer and be responsible for leading a team of data analysts and scientists. The ideal candidate is someone who has a prior record of managing teams, executes company-wide data strategy, and loves the intensity of a high-growth startup.
This is a full time position, the salary range for this role is $200,000 - $230,000 plus bonus, depending on level of experience and geographic location.

- Provide thought leadership and act as a subject matter expert in the design and recommendation of appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues within the business.
- Lead the team to propose and execute on data science initiatives and roadmap. Define best practices and innovations in the analytics and healthcare data space.
- Manage and mentor a stellar Data team by fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous development to deliver on the roadmap.
- Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and develop dashboards and reports to track and measure performance against these metrics.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to establish and implement robust data governance policies and procedures for security, privacy, and compliance
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to cross functional stakeholders based on data analysis, helping them make informed decisions and drive business growth.
- Master the ins-and-outs of our healthcare datasets, develop creative solutions to diverse questions that span data processing, reports and model development for both internal and external stakeholders.
We’re excited about you because…
- At least 7 years of experience as a data professional with demonstrated experience managing and leading a high-performing data team.
- A track record of designing and executing data science roadmap and delivering data products and insights that influence engineering and business decisions.
- Expertise in programming/scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R), statistical and analytical models and applications.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing analytics strategies in the digital health environment and familiarity with healthcare data. Having worked with data in e-commerce, consumer tech, B2C, or membership-experience based business will be considered.
- You can strategically build and manage the team but have no problem rolling up your sleeves and getting in the weeds while doing so.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communications, including the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators
- Entrepreneurial and resourceful — As an early member of a startup, we need people who can find creative ways to make a big impact quickly and without much direction.
- Experience handling deadlines, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for collaborating cross-functionally with sales, operations, client success, data, and product teams to ideate, complete projects, and drive impactful results.
